Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

TAOT is a fixed-payment tracker for iPhone. It is built so that your financial information stays yours: on your iPhone and, if you use it, in your own private iCloud. This policy covers TAOT 2.0 and explains exactly what the app does with your data.

The short version: We, the developers, collect no data. TAOT has no account system, never connects to your bank, and has no servers of its own. What you enter is stored on your iPhone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud. There are no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. We cannot see what you track.

What we collect

Nothing. TAOT sends no data to us. We have no access to what you enter into the app and no way to identify you through it.

What TAOT stores

Everything you enter is stored on your iPhone:

You can clear all of it at any time from the You screen.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, TAOT keeps a copy of this data in the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. That is how your payments come back after a reinstall or on a new iPhone. Only you can read it; we have no access to it. To keep it in sync, iCloud may send TAOT silent background notifications through Apple's push service. These carry no payment details and never reach us.

You can turn iCloud off for TAOT on the You screen or in Settings. Clearing your data on the You screen also removes the iCloud copy. Deleting the app does not — see Support for how to remove it.

Location

To set your country, currency and local prices, TAOT asks for your location while the app is in use. Your iPhone sends the coordinates to Apple's geocoding service, which returns only the country. TAOT keeps the country, not the location. If you decline, TAOT uses your iPhone's region instead.

Calendar

If you turn on calendar sync, TAOT adds your renewal dates to a calendar you choose and updates those events when a payment changes. iOS grants calendar access as a whole, but TAOT only writes and edits its own events. It does not read your other events.

Photos, screenshots, statements and bills

Only the payments you confirm on the review screen are saved.

Face ID

If you turn on the app lock, iOS checks your Face ID or passcode and tells TAOT only whether it succeeded. TAOT never sees your face data or your passcode.

Notifications

Renewal, trial, paid and cancel reminders are scheduled locally by your iPhone. Nothing about your payments is sent anywhere to deliver them.

Purchases

TAOT Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details or personal information. TAOT checks your App Store purchase on your iPhone to unlock Pro, including for people who bought earlier versions.

Widgets, Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight

Widgets, Control Center controls and the Live Activity read your upcoming payments from a shared container on your iPhone. If you use Siri or Shortcuts with TAOT, Apple handles those requests under its own privacy policy. TAOT adds your payment names to Spotlight on your iPhone so you can search for them; that index stays on your device.

Backups and links

Brand logos and exchange rates are bundled inside the app. TAOT has no networking code of its own and contacts no servers of ours. The only places your data goes are the Apple services described above.

What TAOT does not do

This website

gettaot.com has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

TAOT is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Because your data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf. You hold all of it: clear it on the You screen, and manage your iCloud copy in Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted here.
